**You are now wandering around the streets of [[Perplex City]] to find a cure, or else you and all of humanity, will die.
**The old man says: "You need to get me a potion, the [[Elixir of Glimdrang]], or I will die from this infernal poison the [[Lord Flaganroth]] has given me."
**According to the Potions Master: "Yes, I remember it well. It's a difficult potion to come up with, and to conjure it, I would need three things: [[Fletcher's Spirit]], which is a very strong alcoholic drink. It also needs an [[Academician's Lens]], in order to measure the liquids. Finally, I would need the [[3rd Volume of Mages]], which is a rare book, but you can find it in some libraries."

<RecedaGame> The old man takes the potion gratefully, and then with surprising swiftness, pockets it. He discards his cane, whips off his cloak and towers above you, laughing maniacally. You shrink back, holding your sock puppet out in front of you, defensively. He looks at it with scorn (but doesn't bat it away, you notice). He says, "You fool! I am the dark Lord Flaganroth, and you shall never see your Princess or the Kingdom!" A flash

<RecedaGame> goes off, and he uses the distraction to disappear out of your house, having taken everything that you had of value, which wasn't much.

<RecedaGame> You cower on the floor of your home, wondering how you were so duped, when you see a scrap of paper he'd left in his haste. It says, "The key to the kingdom is" and then there's a slash in the paper, with "sortails" written to the right of it. Maybe it is a clue to your next quest to save the Kingdom, reclaim your family's glory, and save the Princess!

<RecedaGame> goes off, and he uses the distraction to disappear out of your house, having taken everything that you had of value, which wasn't much.

<RecedaGame> You cower on the floor of your home, wondering how you were so duped, when you see a scrap of paper he'd left in his haste. It says, "The key to the kingdom is" and then there's a slash in the paper, with "sortails" written to the right of it. Maybe it is a clue to your next quest to save the Kingdom, reclaim your family's glory, and save the Princess!

The two paragraphs before the last have some letters that display before the others. This may be simply a visual effect or it may be a clue.

There are also strange images above the eye, at first they were thought to be kanji. Later arkai discovered that they are just letters turned sideways. These letters seem to spell "Waking" (just like the first word of the animation).

==Message 2: Realise==
On 01-SEP-06, the babel page was updated to show a series of book-ish images, in various forms of hiding. Clikcing the opened book image below the message section takes us to the old message section.

Firstly, the page showed a slew of leaves.

Once cleared, text is plainly visible. There does not appear to be anything else of note at this point.

Then comes the interesting part. After a certain amount of time (about a minute?) the leaves blow away, and the page turns blank. Moving the mouse over the page reveals a new much more hidden message.

Finally, clicking in the upper left corner of the page reveals yet another message. Sometimes, this one is initially slightly obscured by leaves, but is plainly visible.

On Wednesday 16th November 2005, Perplex City players who had completed the set of four blue hex cards were sent an e-mail congratulating them from the Academy.

However, it seems that the Academy's e-mail system managed to ''leak'' some internal e-mails at the bottom of these e-mails sent out to players. Each player so far has received a different e-mail fragment. They are arranged below in date order.

The top portion of the e-mail reads:

I've been reviewing all of our procedures, and I can't find any red flags at all. You're right, though, this wasn't a case of transmission corruption, as we do see evidence of this same tampering in our finals, though not in any of the earlier versions at all. I've checked back and seen some differences in the finals from the previous waves, as well. It must have slipped our notice before. I'm gravely concerned about what this could mean.
