			::::As you say, location IDs are a bit haphazard. There is no coordinate system in place that I am aware of. I think they are assigned in whatever order Daffy entered them into his database. But what I propose would not use so much of a coordinate mapping system, but would be a sort of standardized stamp to place on pages. I was looking at how wikipedia places the coordinate block in the title. Heavy use of style sheets no doubt :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Coor_at_d

			::Completely agree. This is a terrific idea, but I'll never remember "LID". MapID, though, a bit better. I'll leave LID as a redirect so if it made better sense to you Quentin, you're all good.
