Definitely agree about the need for some serious tidying up here. It's not very user friendly and can be arranged to help first-timers a lot better.
Added a fFrequently used tools, by request, to the fFront page.  people *like* having links to the IRC stuff there.  fFine, no problem. (had to quickly fFend off a small revolt, in fFact).  and really not a terrible idea, i reckon.  answers the basic goal of having common stuff in a common place.
