Dear Jack, This is Sylvia's brother, Adam, here. As you can surely understand, Sylvia is very distressed right now, so I am handling all of her correspondence. Thank you for your email, we've found it very enlightening. I've been working on the maze since Pietro made it, and I'm amazed you managed to solve it so quickly. Even with spending nearly all of my time on it, I have only been able to solve a few dozen of the levels. Since level 7 is picked randomly from levels 7 to 1000+ (as it turns out - the highest one I got was 912), the fragments of text I gained at the end of each level were scattered widely and I wasn't able to make any sense of it, although I did guess that they were parts of a larger message. Did you and Simon and BirEnigma and presumably many other people collaborate together to 'fill in' the different levels of the maze and derive the full text from that? If so, I am profoundly touched that so many people have worked hard to unravel this mystery, and I will let Sylvia know about this and the text of the full message. I'm sure she will appreciate knowing Pietro's last message, however strange it may be. Again, thank you. I will not be able to keep in touch for some time since I must attend to the funeral preparations and other affairs. Yours, Adam Cachin |
