- Has officially begun construction on revamping and modernising it's infectious pathogen unit, including upgrades for vaccine production facilities, a separate triage area for potentially contagious patients, and a 200-bed quarantine zone
- These revamps are funded by Council-approved money, defended by Nathan Earlywine
- The expensive improvements are protested by Carrie Lopez of Citizens for Fiscal Frugality
- 01-AUG-06 - Reynold Yumin was arrested for tampering with patient records.
- At the time of his arrest, the length and breadth of impact of this tampering was unclear.
- Hospital staff are cooperating with the authorities completely in rectifying the matter.
