A diused mine outside of Perplex City, Miranda Katsoulis is currently heading there, closely followed by Kurt.

The mine complex is Spec-ed to connect to the Perplex City Catacombs.
The Mine complex contains some sort of mineral deposit which stops electrical devices and even compasses from working, in order to overcome this a fermattograph is required.
The mine could contain Miranda's secret hideout but is probably simply a trap with which to get rid of Kurt as without a fermattogram he will be unable to find his way out of the maze. I also don't think he packed anything as mundane as large amounts of string or breadcrumbs.
