- Many people view this as a way of allowing students to prove themselves, often yielding the student a slight edge over their coworkers and peers.
- Students who take a Games Year have a tendency to go on to make 8% more income at their jobs than those who do not.
- There is some controversy on this whole point, as some people see it as a form of discrimination against those who do not choose a Games Year.
