Infobox classes?

AHA!!! This is the page I was looking for!

I'm trying to port the Infobox Template from Wikipedia. I noticed it uses some CSS classes to make it look all pretty. I could just add the necessary CSS into the template itself, but I fear that would make the template large and unwieldly to use. I think it would be much better to use the CSS.

I poked around at Wikipedia and discovered that the CSS is stored in Common.css. To get it to work properly, we'll need to add the Infobox CSS to our MediaWiki:Common.css. I can't edit it, though, since it's a special page. Can someone with the proper privs edit it for me? Thanks! xnera 18:04, 22 September 2006 (PDT)

Okay ... it is done. I dont realy entirely understand the whole goal here. Like i get the gist; i understand the goal, i am lightly fFamiliar with userboxen. But I dont really know how userboxen are built. But I imagine I'll see soon enough, when you start building some, yes? Cheers!!! :) Scott 00:30, 23 September 2006 (PDT)

Thanks, Scott! The point of this is that it made the Infobox all pretty. When I tried to add the template without the CSS being in place, the template looked very ugly--no border, not right-aligned, no special fonts applied, etc. Adding the Infobox style info to Common.css made the style of the Infobox look all pretty without having to add a bunch of code to the Infobox template itself. xnera 08:16, 23 September 2006 (PDT)
