Revision as of 20:52, 19 July 2006
General
- Perplex City Council member
- Believes defense budget "provides more than municipal defence"
- In favor of expensive upgrades to Ng General Hospital
- Entered the mayorial race against Camryn Scott
- His campaign has had a very hands-on nature, touring schools, teaching civics lectures, and urging the students to give solutions to city problems.
- Encouraged opening the Old Silver Mines as historic educational centers
- Stated the mines will not produce large volumes of silver again, but are good for students to see the process
- In favour of open-air discussions, and delivering tax breaks to "early-life renters"
- On 20-OCT-05, Earlywine's run for the Leader position as suddenly stymied by Douglass Finlay, who announced he would be tossing his hat in the ring.
- However, Finla's campaign became smeared with a spying scandal over July 2006. He is not expected to recover from this setback.
- 17-JUL-06 - Earlywine made a proposal to significantly reduce the array of instruments included onboard the AQSYS aircraft over a period of years.
- As the lightweight craft age out of use, Earlywine's plan would see them replaced with the scaled-back versions. This would save the city a projected PCL37 million per year.
- Some, however, saw this is a ploy for publicity, in the face of scientific progress.
