- Very sadly, this piece was entirely overlooked, and does not appear in the book. Which really sucks cos it's a right beautiful piece of prose. In a perfect world, this might appear somewhere prominent, like on the back cover. I blame myself for it's omission. That, and time constraints, which had an effect on overall quality. Happily, here it is...
I liked the games you played,
Sunny with a hint of nightshade.
A glance, a quickening laugh like mercury,
A long-toothed grin,
The snares you used to draw me in.
And now I find myself a pawn
And you all queened with daggers drawn
You castled me and I can’t get away
And now I find
I didn’t want to play.
