A disused mine south-west of Perplex City, Miranda Katsoulis is currently heading there, closely followed by Kurt.
- The mine was first suggested as Miranda's destination by Violet, who found out about it by reading all the sign-out logbooks in the Library.
- Violet then discovered that the mine complex contains mineral deposits which stop electrical devices and compasses from working, and that the miners historically overcome this by using a ferrogramatograph. She obtained one from the Museum using her connections (Sente), borrowed Scarlett's car, and took it to Kurt. She also gave us the Silburn-Griggs Historical Society's website address (it is true to style and contains many errors).
- Historical information about the mine and some maps can be found on the site, but the most intersting aspect is that the mine is full of puzzles designed by the superstitious miners.
- Kurt asked for volunteers to advise him whilst he was in the mines on the afternoon of 21-MAY-06.
- The mine could contain Miranda's secret hideout but is probably simply a trap with which to get rid of Kurt as without a fermattogram he will be unable to find his way out of the maze. I also don't think he packed anything as mundane as large amounts of string or breadcrumbs.
- The mine complex is Spec-ed to connect to the Perplex City Catacombs.
