• She is afraid, justifiably that she is next on the list for V and reaches out to Pietro Salk for help- but does not want to reveal her identity at first.

• Her caution is warranted but insufficient, Pietro is attacked and murdered before he can go to the police.

• Monica Grand is herself murdered by V and found by Pietro's wife just before she dies.
